Here is a quick up date on the biblioteca project.  Exciting things are happening!

Currently we have one fully functioning library, Sr. de Huanca.  This library continues to improve with time.  Early on we saw little participation or excitement in the activities we were offering but slowly that has changed.  Megan and Larissa are now in charge of the kids activity which happens twice a month.  They are averaging 10 kids but have had upwards of 20.  The bible study continues on Tuesday nights and we have also been able to offer the urban gardening workshop with the second session to take place this Friday.

Next week will mark the third, and final, session of the urban gardening workshop over at Flor de Maria, a different comedor.  Attendance has been good for both sessions and we are looking to finish strong.  Next month we will, with help from the ministry of health, begin sponsoring some classes on nutrition.  We are currently planning the next few months of lessons to continue our involvement with this group of ladies.

The really exciting news about our library project is that we are in the process of opening three more!  Two of these are located in Alto Selva Alegre, the same district as our current library.  The third is located in Miraflores, the district where the McKinzies live.  We feel very positive about all three of these new projects and will be posting more about them soon.  I can't wait to show you the Miraflores location, it is huge!

Things are moving along at a nice pace for us here and we appreciate all of your prayers and support.  Stay tuned!
