El Instituto Cristiano de Desarrollo Urbano (ICDU) is the developmental ministry arm of Team Arequipa, a mission team that arrived in Arequipa in 2008.

Guided by our vision to bring the good news about God's Kingdom to bear on the needs of the whole person in Arequipa, the team created ICDU to facilitate the administration of holistic developmental projects. 

ICDU's office is located in the district of Alto Selva Alegre (ASA), at Parque Espiritu Santo, a small plaza that is a hub of activity for the community.  Initial projects will be implemented in the poorer neighborhoods of ASA.

ICDU helps initiate sustainable developemental projects among the urban poor of Arequipa.  We seek sustainability through five foundational processes:

Being learners first.

Forming relationships with the people we serve.

Colaborating with and empowering community members.

Employing available indigenous resources and appropriate external resources.

Serving people holistically.
